These are the juvenile green turtles that are part of East Coast Biologists' current acoustic study to determine if and how juvenile green turtles use recently deployed (2019) artificial (or mitigation) reefs in Brevard County. Some of the turtles were captured over the artificial reefs (AR) by SCUBA diving and some of the turtles were captured over the shallow nearshore reefs (NR) with dipnets. This project was funded in part by a grant awarded from the Sea Turtle Grants Program. The Sea Turtle Grants Program is funded from proceeds from the sale of the Florida Sea Turtle License Plate.
